Be a good citizen and educate your vote!

I get so frustrated seeing interviews with people on the street who have to idea why they are going to vote for certain candidates.  I catch myself wondering if these people have actually ever taken the time to consider their principles, or do they even have any principles the guide their life in any way.  Consider the following items in no particular order of importance to me, then please take the time to think about where you stand on important societal issues and then find the candidate that aligns the most with your principles.:

1.  Definition of Marriage - does the candidate define marriage as between a man and woman?
2.  Abortion - Is the candidate Pro-Life?
3.  Illegal Immigration - What is their solution to the problem?
4.  Free market economy - Do they support capitalism or more government regulation and control?
5.  Freedom of Religion - does the candidate support your freedom to worship how, where and what you may?
6.  Right to bear arms - do you want the ability to defend your family or not?
7.  Healthcare - should it be free for everyone?
8.  Education - do their policies with regard to education allow children to succeed?
9.  International involvment - is okay to be the international police force for democracy, or should we let the Hitlers, Husseins, and Bin Laden's do as they please?
10.  National security - will the leader defend our country
11.  Energy - is the politician eagerly seeking for energy independence, keeping their mind open to all forms of energy generation.
12.  Climate Change - Is there really global warming?  Does the candidate believe that mankind is the cause?
13.  Judicial philosophy - Does the candidate want judges to create laws or to leave it in the proper hands of the legistlature?
14.  Crime - will the leader actively seek to punish injustice?
