Redistribution of wealth by the force of law is a Marxist-Socialist ideal.

Robin Hood's maxim of "steal from the rich and give to the poor" is evil. However, I did like the Disney version when he stole only from the corrupt government (Prince John) and returned the money to the people from whom it was taken (That cute little rabbit family and Friar Tuck). In that sense Robin Hood is a hero.

Giving your "excess" to the poor and needy, voluntarily from your heart, is consistent with God's law. Please don't get confused!
